FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding and may be used in point plasma of welding of lap joints of ferrous and nonferrous metals in atmosphere of protective gas. Proposed torch consists of case and cover separated by isolated and coupled by nut. Thrust strap is arranged outside case bottom. Insert with compression channel is arranged inside said case between the latter and cooling chamber. Electric holder is arranged at cover center with nonconsumable electrode with its working end located ahead of insert compression channel. Said nonconducting thrust support is furnished with closed metal ring secured thereat level with compression channel and electrode bottom end.
EFFECT: higher strength of weld point.
