SUBSTANCE: system for measuring a physical quantity has a variable impedance element probe responsive to at least one measured quantity and an electromagnetic device (EMD) having one channel, wherein said variable impedance element probe is operably connected to said one channel, said EMD being electrically responsive to said response of said variable impedance element probe. Said one EMD is one acoustic wave device (AWD), and each of said acoustic wave devices (AWD) has an input channel and one measurement channel. Said one variable impedance element probe is operably connected to said one measurement channel. Said one AWD is a reflective-tap delay line having reflective taps, wherein one of said reflective taps has an interdigital transducer (IDT), said IDT having said measurement channel; the system further comprises a plurality of said reflective taps providing an identification sequence specific to said system.
EFFECT: reduced size and power consumption.
