FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Chain tensioner comprises tensioner and sprockets with means for their attachment for support. Said tensioner is composed of magnet of whatever type and shape. With sprocket and chain in vertical position, said magnet is arranged between chain strands at required position owing to the use of moving rod and boss. Rod is locked by screw in vertical while said boss is locked in said support in horizontal. With sprocket and chain in horizontal position, said magnet is arranged above chain both strands nearby drive while another magnet is secured above said strands nearby driven sprocket. Magnets are located between sprockets.
EFFECT: higher quality of tensioning.
