FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: solid radioactive waste (SRW) is processed by being molten in a direct-current furnace. Under action of high temperature, gravitational forces and action of electric field, redistribution of radionuclides is performed as per physical and chemical properties in end processing components.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing SRW volume by 50 times.
