SUBSTANCE: invention discloses, in particular, the method to transmit signals via a power transmission line, in which in the specified network of the power transmission line, at least one transmitter and at least one receiver communicate with each other, at least via two channels, besides, each of the specified channels has an appropriate port of supplying the specified at least one transmitter and an appropriate port of receiving the specified at least one transmitter, and the specified transmitter has at least two supply ports, the specified method includes: determination of a channel characteristic of each of the specified channels; application of a supply port selection criterion on the basis of the specified channel characteristic; and selection of the excluded supply port among the specified at least two supply ports on the basis of the specified supply port selection criterion, in which the specified excluded supply port is not used during additional data transfer. It also discloses the appropriate modem of data transfer along a power transmission line.

EFFECT: expanded passband of a system of data transmission along a power transmission line.
