FIELD: personal use articles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to domestic appliances, namely, to bread bin type containers for storage and/or demonstration of various food products and/or dishes. The container contains a body with a lid, installed on axles and spring-loaded in the closure direction, and a mechanism for the lid closure retardation. The latter includes an engaged gear wheel, mounted so that to enable rotation on one of the axles, and a totth element designed so that to enable interaction with the spring ensuring the lid closure. The tooth element represents a frame with teeth arranged on its inside or a rooth bar. The said mechanism is placed inside a space-efficient housing positioned outside one of the lateral sides of the container body.
EFFECT: container made as per the invention has a simpler design and better operational reliability.
