FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to tooling for production of axisymmetric articles without die grades. Die assembly comprises top and bottom parts with male and female dies. Top part is equipped with swaging cage accommodating male die arranged coaxially therein. Cage inner lateral surface bottom ring section is provided with chamfer. Said chamfer can slide on identical chamfer on female die outer lateral surface top ring section. Female die wall is shaped to hollow truncated cone with parallel generating lines of the surface. Smaller base of truncated cone inner surface adjoins the female die bottom and equals the diameter of produced article. Larger base diameter DS of said surface is defined by equation DS=DA/(1-εF), where: DA is diameter of produced article, mm, εF is female die cushioning degree with respect to tolerable elastic limit.
EFFECT: expanded operating performances, lower labor input if production of axisymmetric articles.
