FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: stop seal of a centrifugal compressor includes a sealing pair including a component of the compressor rotor part with sealed surface and a sealing assembly installed on the compressor stator part and spring-loaded in axial direction. The sealing assembly is made in the form of an annular piston installed in an annular slot of the stator part, which is interconnected with a compressed gas supply channel. An end sealing element is installed on the end surface of the annular piston so that it can contact the sealed surface of the component of the rotor part, and piston sealing elements are installed on cylindrical surfaces of the annular piston. The annular piston is spring-loaded in the direction from sealed surface of the component of the rotor part.
EFFECT: enhancement of tightness of a flow part of the compressor at its stop and reliability of the seal.
