FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: omnidirectional circular antenna has wire loops which are uniformly distributed on a circle and are in-phase fed from one coaxial line. The plane of each of the wire loops of the circular antenna is turned by an angle relative the plane passing through the vertical longitudinal axis of the antenna. The turning angle of the loop depends on the required ratio of electromagnetic field components on horizontal and vertical polarisations. A conducting flattened cone is placed below the loop. Lower ends of the loops are galvanically connected to the top of the cone and the antenna feed line passes inside the cone.
EFFECT: omnidirectional circular antenna is able to operate during vertical and horizontal polarisation of the electromagnetic field.
