FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method to convert thermal energy of a low-temperature source of heat into mechanical energy in a closed circulating contour, in which the liquid working medium is heated by means of heat transfer from a low-temperature source and is partially evaporated in a device for underpressure creation, it is possible to prevent erosion of a condenser for condensation of working medium, which has partially been converted into steam, due to the fact that in the working medium, which has been partially converted into steam, directly upstream the condenser the liquid phase is separated from the steam-like phase, only the steam-like phase is sent to the condenser for condensation, and then the condensed steam-like phase and the liquid phase are combined. Also a device for method realisation is provided.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reliably prevent erosion of a condenser, not increasing complexing of a circulating contour substantially.
