FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: at least four standard samples are made, in two of them a fatigue crack-concentrator of standard length is produced, in other two - a fatigue crack is made of maximum relative length, excluding its spontaneous opening in process of crack making. Previously V-shaped side cuts with depth of 1.0-1.5 mm at both sides of the concentrator are applied onto side surfaces of the sample with the fatigue crack-concentrator of standard length and one of samples with fatigue crack of maximum relative length. Samples with the fatigue crack of different length and side notches are tested under conditions of flat deformed state, and samples with the fatigue crack of standard and maximum relative length - under conditions of flat stressed state. Following the results of sample testing, dependences are produced, which are used to assess simultaneously impact viscosity and dynamic crack resistance.
EFFECT: expanded capabilities for assessment of impact viscosity of sheet structural steels and increased quality of assessment.
