FIELD: corrosion tests.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to corrosion tests. The method for testing samples of high-strength steels for stress corrosion cracking consists in making samples of the cantilever bend type according to GOST 9.903-81, applying fatigue cracks to the samples, testing cantilever bending at various initial values of the stress intensity factor for no more than 1000 hours, crack growth is recorded during testing, critical and threshold stress intensity factors are determined, and a corrosion crack resistance diagram is plotted. When testing samples, the supply of a corrosive medium is carried out by the drop method directly into the crack zone, the growth of the crack is recorded using a system that includes a narrowly focused light source, a video recorder and a rack with markings, according to the deviation of the beam emanating from the light source and directed at the rack with markings, the dependence " capture deviation - time", according to the constructed dependence, the share of each section is determined, corresponding to the crack growth rate and its length, and taking into account the constant load and crack length, the stress intensity factor corresponding to the crack growth rate in the section with steady crack growth is calculated.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of assessing the corrosion crack resistance of high-strength steels.
