FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: metre has an input signal converter with a high input resistance operational amplifier. The converter is connected to a first data channel and a second data channel. A sum signal is transmitted over the first channel based on the sign of the first potential difference measured between each extreme grounding point (M, N) and a common grounding point GND. A sum signal is transmitted over the second channel based on the sign of the second potential difference measured between each extreme grounding point (M, N) and the centre grounding point O of a field sensor. The first and second data channels have identical circuits and include a preamplifier on which zero drift compensation is provided by introducing an adjustment in form of dc reference voltage applied at the input of each preamplifier, and an analogue-to-digital converter (ADC). The ADC of both data channels are connected in parallel to a control device independently of each other. The control device is connected to a device for interfacing with a computer.
EFFECT: enabling direct measurement of the first and second potential differences, high signal-to-noise ratio, high accuracy of intermediate actions.
