FIELD: geophysical surveying technology.

SUBSTANCE: method includes creation of electromagnetic field in depth of surveyed area by means of sending through it periodical sequence of rectangular impulses of current with pauses between each of them. At the end of each impulse of current and between impulses of current in pauses along all length momentary values of first and second axial and second orthogonal differences of potentials are measured. Along all length of each of pauses two closely located in time momentary values of first and second differences of potentials are selected for each pause, and difference between values of each pair is determined. On basis of these values four normalized electrical parameters are calculated, by means of solving opposite problem on basis of differential wave equation of mathematical physics for strength of dipole source in electrochemically self-polarizing conducting environment, model of environment is found, which is closest to researched one on basis of geometric structure and electrical parameters. Time cross-cuts of this model are built on basis of electrophysical parameters in given equation, like electroconductivity of environment elements, coefficient of their induced polarization and constant of time of decrease in difference of potentials of induced polarization.
