SUBSTANCE: method and device are developed for transmission of analogue signals along an emergency digital fibre-optic transmission system, making it possible to complex analogue and digital modes of operation of a fibre-optic linear tract. Due to application of the analogue signal, not requiring synchronisation and generation of a linear signal, having the necessary properties for distribution along a communication line, it may be possible to use a fibre-optic communication line under conditions of interfering effects of various nature, also in case of synchronisation failure, which provides additional advantages when transferring information critical to time of delivery, reduces downtime during repair and maintenance of a communication line, increases operability of a communication line when exposed to destructive factors.

EFFECT: increased reliability of a transmission system under conditions of deterioration of parameters of a fibre-optic linear tract or impossibility to maintain synchronisation.
