SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry, particularly to a method for preparing inulin of artichoke tubers for medical and feeding applications. The method for preparing inulin of artichoke tubers by multiple extraction of extractants from an aqueous extract of the raw material when heated with an aqueous extract every time separated and further combination of the aqueous extracts to be purified by sedimentation of pectin substances by calcium slat; thereafter the extraction mixture is filtered; the filtrate is evaporated, and inulin is settled, an inulin residue is separated and dissolved in hot water, purified additionally with aluminium oxide with inulin further settled; the product is dried and milled under certain conditions.
EFFECT: method enables preparing high-yield inulin.
