FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrophysical and electrochemical processing and can be used for stabilisation of anode-cathode spacing at optimum value in spark erosion processing. In compliance with this invention, spark erosion shaping of grinding wheel is performed by shape electrode. Note here that electrode is fed unless electric power released in anode-to-cathode spacing reaches its maximum. Then, said spacing is kept at the level of maximum power by automatic optimising electrode feed controller.
