FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery and ophthalmology, and can be applied in post-traumatic reconstruction of lower eye-socket wall and lower eye-socket edge. Essence of method lies in the following: basing on transverse defect dimension support from porous titanium nickelide 0.8-1.0 cm wide plate is modelled with support on medial and lateral edges of bone defect. After that, implant from super-elastic mesh titanium nickelide is modelled in accordance with bone defect parameters. It is introduced into eye-socket through subciliary access with support on previously modelled implant from porous titanium nickelide with distal edge, installed into correct anatomical position, bent over lower eye-socket edge with simultaneous coverage of metal elements of bone fragment fixation. After that, it is smoothed under periosteum of anterior wall of maxillary sinus. Then, the wound is sewn layer-by-layer.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to ensure adequate anatomical reconstruction of lower eye-socket wall, prevent implant displacement into maxillary sinus cavity.
