METHOD OF MAKING PERFORATED WEB Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC B26F1/20 B32B3/24 A61F13/15

Abstract RU 2487012 C2

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of perforated webs. Material of web backing is used which features direction of material motion in machine and direction across aforesaid direction of material motion in machine. Said web backing features also dominating orientation of molecules aligned with direction of material motion in machine. Device for making perforations is used that comprises first and second elements. Said first element comprises blend while second element comprises teeth. Said teeth are inclined from base to top and connected with second element along the base. Base of every tooth features cross-section length larger than cross-section width. Every tooth is arranged to allow tooth cross-section length to be directed at angle larger than 30 degrees relative to dominating orientation of web molecules. Web material is transferred between engaging elements. Perforations in said web are formed when teeth of second element penetrate through aforesaid blend. In compliance with second version, web is subjected to plastic deformation in direction traverses relative to direction of material motion in machine.

EFFECT: fast absorption of fluid, higher resistance to contraction.
