FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: metering pressure converter comprises a casing, a separating membrane, one first element for measurement of pressure, a contact medium, one first connection element and at least one first seal. The separating membrane separates process medium from contact medium. The contact medium sends process medium pressure received through the separating membrane to the first element for pressure measurement. The first seal serves as the support for the first connection element. The casing, the separating membrane and the first seal form the first discharge chamber. At the side of the first seal facing away from the first discharge chamber there is the second discharge chamber, and in the second discharge chamber there is the second element for pressure measurement. In the good sealing condition of the first seal the pressure in the second discharge chamber is substantially independent on pressure in the first discharge chamber, or in the good sealing condition of the first seal the pressure in the second discharge chamber is in certain dependence on the pressure in the first discharge chamber.

EFFECT: possibility to detect a defect in the first seal area.
