FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: unit is a functionally complete device and is designed to receive analogue and discrete signals from sensors of a processing facility, process said signals, transmit information on measurement results and other parameters on the current state over RS-485 network interface channels and generate control signals for actuating mechanisms of the processing facility based on a set control algorithm. Unit has submodules for analogue and(or) discrete input/output, 24 V dc "dry contact" type input/out channels, "open collector" type channels, an XP7 socket, a microcontroller, a DC/DC converter, two RS-485 interface transceivers, a quartz-crystal resonator UZ1, display elements, control elements (buttons), 24 V feeders.
EFFECT: design of a distributed control system with improved operational characteristics, high reliability, small size and weight using cutting edge hardware components.
