FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biocidal compositions. The biocidal composition contains a carrier and a combination of phenyl pyrrole as a component (I), selected from fludioxonil, and a pyrion compound as a component (II), selected from 1-hydroxy-2-pyridinone, ciclopirox, ciclopirox olamine, piroctone, piroctone olamine, rilopirox, pyrion disulphide, sodium pyrion and zinc pyrion. Component (I) and component (II) are present in corresponding ratios for achieving a synergetic biocidal effect. Microbial growth on wood, timber, biodegradable materials and building materials is controlled by applying an antibacterial-effective amount of said composition. The biocidal product contains compositions of a carrier and component (I) and a carrier and component (II) as a combination for simultaneous or consecutive application.
EFFECT: invention increases treatment efficiency.
