SUBSTANCE: polymer composition contains polyvinyl chloride, an ester plasticiser, a stabiliser, calcium carbonate, aluminium oxide trihydrate, antimony trioxide, zinc oxide, boric acid and diphenylol propane. The composition further contains calcium stearate or lead stearate, zinc borate, a phosphorus-containing plasticiser, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium carbonate, calcium oxide or hydroxide, an organobromine compound, a lubricant, and the stabiliser used can be nontoxic complex calcium-zinc heat stabilisers.

EFFECT: invention provides low smoke emission during smouldering and burning, while maintaining low flammability, improves processing of a PVC composition and outward appearance of a plastic compound, increases resistance to heat ageing, widens the range of PVC compositions used to make a cable compound.
