FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing an acyl fluoride of perfluorocyclohexane carboxylic acid involves electrochemical fluorination of dimethyl ether of phthalic acid in a medium of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, where a mixture of dimethyl ether of phthalic acid with dimethyl ether of perfluorocyclohexane dicarboxylic acid is fluorinated, the latter being taken in amount of 5-50 wt % of the fluorinated mixture. The dimethyl ether of perfluorocyclohexane dicarboxylic acid can be obtained by mixing a diacyl fluoride of perfluorocyclohexane dicarboxylic acid with methanol, wherein the diacyl fluoride of perfluorocyclohexane dicarboxylic is separated from fluorination products of dimethyl ether of phthalic acid or a mixture of dimethyl ethers of phthalic acid and perfluorocyclohexane dicarboxylic acid.
