SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of separating meta-xylene from mixture, which contains, at least, one other C8 alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon. Method includes contact of mixture with adsorbent, which contains sodium zeolite Y with the average size of crystallites 50-700 nanometers, in conditions of adsorption.
EFFECT: invention provides effective method of separating meta-xylene from relatively contaminated mixture of C8 alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons.
