ZEOLITE ADSORBENTS FREE OF BINDING SUBSTANCE, METHODS OF OBTAINING THEREOF AND METHODS OF ADSORPTION ISOLATION OF PARA-XYLENE FROM MIXED XYLENES BY ZEOLITE ADSORBENTS FREE OF BINDING SUBSTANCE Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC B01J20/18 B01J20/30 C01B39/22 C07C7/13 C07C15/08

Abstract RU 2540633 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to BaKX zeolite adsorbents free of binding substance, used for liquid phase separation of aromatic xylenes. Adsorbent includes part of zeolite, converted from binding substance, formed from x wt % of clayey kaolin binding substance, and (100-x) wt % of non-converted zeolite X with molar ratio silicon dioxide:aluminium oxide 2,5. Content of clayey kaolin binding substance is in the range 10-20 wt %. Barium (Ba) and potassium (K) occupy substituted cationic centres of adsorbent. Content of K constitutes 0.25-0.9 wt %, and content of Ba is higher than 31.6 wt % of BaKX zeolite adsorbent free of binding substance. The total volume of pores of BaKX zeolite adsorbent free of binding substance, measured by Hg porometry, constitutes from 0.25 to 0.35 cm3/g. Corn starch can be added to zeolite X and clayeye kaolin binding substance to increase macroporosity and volume of adsorbent pores. Method of obtaining agglomerated zeolite adsorbent is claimed. Method of isolation of para-xylene from mixture of aromatic xylenes with application of obtained adsorbent is claimed.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase mechanical strength of adsorbent, increase adsorbent efficiency in processes of liquid phase separation and reduce exploitation expenditures for para-xylene isolation.
