SUBSTANCE: method of processing chip mixture of different species of wood prior to kraft pulping includes loading a batch cooker with a mixture of chips of different species of wood, containing wood of larch, pine, spruce, birch, aspen, a two-stage processing of the mixture by extraction with water at the first stage and the black liquor at the second, removing the extract from the cooker, supply to the cooker of the cooking liquor, recycling of the extract with obtaining arabinogalactan. Both extraction treatments are carried out in three cookers interconnected by liquid phases by their sequential filling of each of the liquid phases with the removal of the aqueous extract by its displacement from the cookers by black liquor and removal of the black liquor by its displacement by the cooking liquor.

EFFECT: balancing of characteristics of chips of all species of wood is achieved, and the possibility of obtaining an aqueous extract with a high concentration of arabinogalactan and flavonoids.
