FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: packer sealing element is made as a pack of lip-type seals that can interact with each other. The sealing element is made of at least three layers: inner cylindrical shell, exterior cylindrical shell and intermediate cylindrical shell. Material for intermediate cylindrical shell has a larger coefficient of volumetric expansion than materials for the inner and exterior shells. At external surface of the inner cylindrical cell there is a number of process grooves. At inner surface of the exterior cylindrical shells there are ring-type process protrusions with process pitch; they are offset per a half of the distance between groves of the inner cylindrical shell. Thickness of intermediate cylindrical shell is accepted as a half of the total thickness of the inner and exterior cylindrical shells. Physical and mechanical properties and volume of the material for the intermediate cylindrical shell can be varied. At the inner surface of the sealing element there are tapered faces.
