FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device to strengthen reinforced concrete floor beams comprises a tie-beam put in service by pre-stressing and fixed with the help of nuts on supports crossbeams, pads of steel angles arranged in a compressed area and connected with a reinforced beam by epoxide glue and steel keys. Angles are additionally connected with a beam with the help of yokes of U-shaped cross section from a fibre-reinforced plastic, covering the beam cross section at two sides and at the bottom along the contour in the support zone and glued with epoxide glue to the surface of angles and the beam, being external reinforcement. Available gaps between pads and floor slabs are filled with fine-grain concrete of stiff consistence.
EFFECT: higher load-carrying capacity, crack resistance and stiffness of reinforced concrete beams.
