FIELD: rescue operations.
SUBSTANCE: stairway for people escape from high-rise buildings and structures comprises two parallel-arranged flexible filaments interconnected with the steps, support-bearing unit with handrails and a drum with an actuator handle. Between the steps on each flexible filament a device of dismountable construction with a suction cups is pivotally mounted, the lever of which has a variable length, for example, it is formed as a threaded joint, wherein the support-bearing unit comprises two drums located on one shaft, wherein both drums have an independent drive with fixation of angle of rotation using a ratchet mechanism.
EFFECT: increased reliability and efficiency of people escape from high-rise buildings which are not equipped with rescue equipment.
