SUBSTANCE: in one aspect a proppant is proposed, which comprises a substrate and a coating. At the same time at least either a substrate or a coating or both contain one or more materials that perceive radiation. In another aspect a method is proposed, which includes placement of a proppant and/or a liquid for treatment in the bed crack, and those contain materials that perceive radiation, radiation of the material that perceives radiation with neutrons, measurement of gamma radiation released by the material that perceives radiation per single lowering-lifting of a logging probe, and determination of height of the bed crack by the measured gamma radiation. At the same time the only lowering-lifting of the probe may be a continuous or a periodical process.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to track and control a process of underground bed hydraulic rupture.
