FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a fibre-optic thermometer which consists of a light source, a microcontroller, a light-distributing system, an optical filter, a fibre-optic switch, photodetectors and a fibre-optic probe. The fibre-optic switch is connected on one side to fibre-optic probes by a fibre-optic guide and on the other side to the light-distributing system. The light source is connected to the light-distributing system by a fibre-optic guide. The light-distributing system is made such it branches into a reference channel and a measuring channel. The measuring channel is such that, between the light-distributing system and the photodetector there is an optical filter connected thereto by a fibre-optic guide. The reference channel is in form of a photodetector connected to the light-distributing system directly by a fibre-optic guide. Photodetectors are connected to the microcontroller by electric leads.

EFFECT: high measurement accuracy.
