FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in differential-normalised electrical exploration with separation of EM (electromagnetic induction) and IP (induced polarisation) fields. The method includes determining layer-by-layer distribution of resistivity (conductivity) of a geologic section and constructing the geoelectric characteristic of the section using time filters to obtain a geoelectric model of the section. Additional time filters are used for relaxation time τ when constructing the geoelectric characteristic of the section.

EFFECT: ensuring stability of obtained results when input data vary, reduced influence of equivalent relationships between calculated polarisation parameters, high reliability of prediction.
