SUBSTANCE: request for a multimedia file is received from a client computer over a network. The request for the multimedia file is transmitted to a server computer over the network. The request for the multimedia file is transmitted via a proxy web service, the proxy web service being able to circumvent security measures of cross site scripting realised in the web browser. The multimedia file is received from the server computer over the network upon transmitting the request for the multimedia file. The multimedia file is inserted in a document edited by a web-based desktop working application.
EFFECT: more flexible insertion of a multimedia file into a document edited by web-based desktop working application.
