FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: composite material for protection against radiation contains polyurethane components, metal particles, fireproof components and auxiliary substances. At the same time it additionally contains boric acid at the following ratio of components, wt %: Polyurethane 10.0-80.0 Metal particles 10.0-60.0 Boric acid 3.0-20.0 Fireproof components 2.0-8.0 Auxiliary substances 0.1-3.0. The specified material may additionally contain marking components 0.2-1.0 wt %.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a composite material for protection against radiation having high fire resistance and absorbing emission of neutrons together with absorption of γ-radiation and X-rays.
