FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: rear edge of an aircraft comprises a device for suppression of noise from an aircraft engine equipped with movable chevron elements, and a driving facility. Driving facilities move the chevron elements aligned in direction of air flow leaving the engine from the passive position, when they are arranged on the extension of the rear end of the car, into the active position, in which at least a part of each chevron element is arranged with an inclination to the rear edge. Transfer of chevron elements from the passive into the active position is provided due to rotation of at least a part of each chevron element around the axis stretching in parallel to the direction of air flow, besides, if necessary, the specified rotation is combined with progressive movement. Another invention of the group relates to a body of an aircraft engine, equipped with at least one above rear edge.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to reduce weight of driving facilities, providing for drive of chevron elements.
