FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agricultural production. The method includes separation of tuberous root layer from the main massif by the working element formed with wedges. Then the layer is raised and moved to the separating elements. Separation of the tuberous root layer from the main massif is carried out with two double dihedral wedges due to tensile deformation and shear. After that, the layer separated from the main massif is raised and moved in the narrowing channel. The narrowing channel is formed by two double three-edged wedges to the separating working elements. The device comprises a box with the main active plowshare, a digging device and a mechanism of vertical displacements. The digging device is made as a series connection of two double dihedral wedges forming a channel of constant cross section, with double three-edged wedges forming a narrowing channel.
EFFECT: reduction of energy consumption and reduction of damage to tuberous roots while digging them out is provided.
