FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in separating a root-duct formation from a main body by a working member formed by two flat discs arranged at a constant camber angle, forming a coupled dihedral wedge with a channel of constant cross-section. Separation of root-pool formation is performed due to deformation of stretching of discs produced during movement around eccentric trunnion along trajectory of epitrochoid in relation to support wheels of device. Then, separated from the main massif, the root-to-layer seam rises, collapses, is stretched between discs due to centrifugal forces and is supplied to separating working elements or on field. Device consists of two flat discs and two support wheels. Discs are installed on eccentric trunnions and during operation they move relative to support wheels of device by epitrochoid.
EFFECT: reduced energy intensity and reduced damage of tuberous roots during their excavation.
