FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to UV hardening of polymer materials and may be used in production of cylindrical articles and repair of damaged pipelines. Proposed irradiator is composed of cylindrical case with aligned holes to house the article to be processed and power supply cable plugs and divided in plane passing through cylindrical case rotational axis into two mirror parts pivoted along one of the lines of case separation. Every said part comprises heat sink plates, reflector, permanent magnets and clip handles arranged at case both parts along the other separation line. Said UV radiation source is composed of UV LEDs connected in series regularly arranged in lines on said heat sink plates secured at inner surface of the case both parts. Said irradiator is composed of material thin layer with reflecting surface directed to processed part and holes for LEDs and secured to heat sink plates.
EFFECT: hardening of pipelines made of polymer materials without dismantling, higher safety under industrial conditions.
