FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Proposed boom comprises hollow body with cover equipped with locking mechanism and stiffness elements. Said body is made up of rigid welded structure composed of angles and based on rectangular frame. Structure side ribs nearby one of the edges are bent at obtuse angle. Struts are arranged at the frame side rigs to abut on bottom edges upon said frame and to follow the shape of side panels and box body roof at top surface. Struts are coupled by two angles at their upper parts. Thin-wall sheets cover the carcass on sides, from bottom and, partially, at rear. Thin-wall panel with two rectangular openings is arranged at carcass face. Two thin-wall covers with flanges are hinged opposite said openings. Said covers are forged and equipped with flag locks and resilient gaskets. Carcass sheets and both covers are provided with parallel or diagonal grooves. Damping plate coated with decorative material is secured at carcass bottom section and covered with decorative material.
EFFECT: higher stiffness, lower weight.
