FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a container (1) comprising a wall (2), a bottom (3), an upper opening provided with a peripheral rim, and a lid (4) for closing the upper opening. The peripheral rim is provided with an edge (7) for collecting the liquid directed upwards and radially outwards. The lid (4) is provided with a peripheral locking edge (12) directed radially outwards which slides along the edge (7) for collecting the liquid while placing the lid (4) on the upper opening. The edge (7) for collecting the liquid is provided with the upper thin edge (10) located in the radial direction closer to the centre of the container relative to the outer surface of the container wall. The second part of the peripheral flange (14) of the lid (4) substantially covers the directed radially outwards surface of the edge (7) for collecting the liquid in the closed position of the lid (4) on the container (1). At that the locking edge (12) of the lid (4) is located in the same plane as the flat central part of the lid.

EFFECT: implementation enables fasten the lid more securely on the container and to provide, prior to the lid placement, the displacement of the liquid remaining at the edge for collecting the liquid of the upper opening of the container, inside it.
