FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: during treatment outer surface of part is coated with protective copper-bearing layer with thickness from 0.01 mm to 0.1 mm, and diffusion saturation of inner surface is performed by nitridation to the depth not more than 0.35 mm.
EFFECT: simplifying nitridation method of long hollow steel part and improving accuracy of geometrical dimensions of nitrided part.
