FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: fitting connection includes a housing, a coupling nut and a ring-shaped seal located between them. The above seal has external surface containing a conical section. The housing has internal surface having a conical section that is mating as to shape to conical section of the seal. The seal is made of foil containing a layer of thermally expanded graphite with at least one molten carbon harness uniformly distributed throughout its width by means of its spiral winding with further pre-pressing in the direction of the seal axis.

EFFECT: tightness of a fitting connection under operating conditions at high operating temperatures; improvement of reliability and wear resistance of the fitting connection seal.
