FIELD: test engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises: loading the object under test with electromagnetic alternating field with a predetermined constant or variable frequency (f), determination of vortex currents induced in the object under test along the predetermined parallel measuring paths at the section (10) of the surface of the object under test, providing the vortex current signals, and each signal of the vortex currents corresponds to the measuring path, converting (14) of the vortex current signals, and providing the converted measured values as a function of the measuring path, the frequency (f) and position (s) along the measuring path, interpretation (16) of the converted measured values using converted measured values of at least one adjacent measuring path and providing signals of cracks with the corrected amplitude and/or position of the path with respect to the converted measured values.

EFFECT: increase in the distinctive ability of determining the cracks.
