FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on measuring emf of transient processes in off-ground combined quadratic loops of different sizes, defined depending on the depth of exploration with subsequent determination of induction and polarisation parameters of the investigated rock section. The selected loops have two sizes: L1 - larger size L2 - smaller size, and measurements are taken in a microsecond to millisecond time interval, identical for each loop size. Emf measurement results from the larger loop are recalculated to the smaller loop. Emf values obtained from the recalculation are compared with measured emf values obtained from the smaller loop. Matching of said signals indicates the absence of inductively induced polarisation, otherwise there is induced polarisation.
EFFECT: high information value of the signal when selecting low-contrast structural features of the section with low labour input in taking measurements.
