FIELD: prospecting for minerals. SUBSTANCE: method of geoelectric prospecting is based on excitation of unsteady electromagnetic field in examined medium by two heterpolar current pulses having different amplitudes and duration delayed with reference to each and on measurement of transition process. For increase of resolving power of measurements when prospecting for local objects with separation of signals caused by polarization and transition processes one determines moment of time when measured signal equals zero. Then times of transition of measured signal through zero at other durations and amplitudes of current pulses are determined. Amplitudes of signals of transition process over specified times are also measured and are used to find properties of examined medium. EFFECT: increased resolving power of measurements.
