FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of releasing and re-dispersing nanoparticles of transition metals. These can be used as IR-absorbers, particularly, in transparent thermoplastic or cross-liked polymers for architectural or car glazing applications. Acrylate or methacrylate monomer or oligomer, or polyacrylate or polymethyl acrylate and reducer are added to aqueous solution of transition metal salt. Colloidal solution is either treated by peroxide or subjected to UV- or visible light. Water soluble amine is added to produce stabilised water suspension of transition metal nanoparticles. Nanoparticles are released in evaporation of solvent from said stabilised water suspension or on adding dispersing agent nanoparticles to the latter and re-dispersing said nanoparticles along with dispersing agent in liquid acrylate or methacrylate monomer.
EFFECT: nanoparticles with preserved morphology and optical properties.
