FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to takeoff wing mechanisation means intended for protection of flaps and slats over excess aerodynamic loads. This method comprises measuring the current flight speed, aircraft weight, angles of flap and slat deflection, acceleration of aircraft center of weight along the path, rates of manual and automatic retraction with forestalling relative to maximum tolerable speed of aircraft with retracted undercarriage. Current speed of gear retraction start is registered at navigation instrument to generate message for pilot about necessity in start of retraction mechanisation and to initiate it automatically in case pilot does not interfere with flight control.

EFFECT: decreased flight design speed with retracted undercarriage, lower aerodynamic loads and aircraft weight, higher safety and reliability.
