SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pellet powder for small arms. The charge is intended to be placed in an encapsulated shell with a bullet and is made from pellet powder elements consisting of nitrocellulose with nitrogen oxide content of 212.5-214.2 ml NO/g, 20-30 wt % recyclable non-phlegmatised wastes, 11.0-13.5 wt % nitroglycerine, 0.5-1.0 wt % diphenylamine, 0.2-0.4 wt % centralite II, with packed density of 0.945-0.995 kg/dm³, surface-phlegmatised 2.0-4.0 wt % centralite I and 1.5-2.2 wt % dinitrotoluene, surface-graphitised 0.1-0.3 wt % graphite, with moisture content of 0.2-0.9 wt % and ethyl acetate 0.1-0.9 wt %, with the weight ratio of fractions, %: 0.63-0.4 not less than 85; 0.4-0.315 not more than 10; the sum of the coarse fraction on a 0.63 sieve and the fine fraction passing through sieve 0.315 and remaining on sieve 0.16 not more than 5.

EFFECT: invention provides the required ballistic characteristics in a 7,62 mm automatic rifle cartridge.
