FIELD: textiles, paper.

SUBSTANCE: method of production of raw silk thread consists of sequential operations of steaming cocoons, searching of cocoon thread ends and joint unwinding of several cocoons, with multiple supplying of a cocoon, and at break of the thread unreeling from it the repeated searching of ends and unwinding. At that, searching of the thread end and unwinding of the cocoon after the first break is carried out on the second stage machines, and after the second and subsequent breaks - on the third stage machines, and the temperature of water on machines of each subsequent stage is lower than on the previous ones.

EFFECT: increase in uniformity of linear density of raw silk, increase in production rate of winders of the automatic machines, and increase in productivity of automatic cocoon-reeling machines, increase in output of raw silk in separate steaming of new and old cocoons on the shaking machine, reducing the number of defective cocoons in preparation for their unwinding.
